how can we use file storage as data storage in salesforce

We have lots of File storage sitting while we are out of Data storage and I was wondering is there any way to convert or use file storage as data storage

In Salesforce There is document and content section where you can store file or document and also can separate these in folder.

You can also share that content or folder with others

I dont think we can use file storage for storing records. You might have to check with SFDC sales team if you are running out of data storage. They might increase your data storage or you'll be asked to buy additional licenses.

File storage includes files in attachments, the Documents tab, the Files tab, the File
field, Salesforce CRM Content, and Chatter, including user photos.
So Storing files in content will not increase your data storage it will reduce/consume file storage. Please check with your AE for details.
