Hi All,

We are about to get a new PBX and I would like to get one that interfaces with SFDC sio that users can click on telephone numbers and connect directly etc.

A few years ago there were a few systems that connected to Salesforce pretty much out of the box. Does anyone know what/where that list is today?

The feature is called Click to Dial.   Google "pbx click to dial salesforce" or "pbx click to dial salesforce integration" and it should turn up a bunch of them.

Good luck.

There are providers in the AppExchange that will do it. If your looking to do this in house I would recommend using Asterisk PBX. The open nature of Asterisk will allow you to slice and dice things any way you wish, record the calls, etc... all without having to pay 25K for each additional feature a traditional PBX vendor would.

Hello Ben,
If you are simply looking for a click to dial application I recommend using a Google Chrome Extension. If you use an application that leverages Google Chrome, then it will not be limited only to For example, the Loup ( extension ( connects to most major phone systems and searches Chrome's HTML source code for phone numbers. When using the Loup extension a little logo will be presented next to each phone number allowing for seamless click to dial. I would also recommend looking at the Chrome Webstore ( for other click to dial extensions.

Hi, Ben!

What kind of PBX does your organization use?

But if you want a software to unify Salesforce with the PBX that you use, I recommend Tenfold, a 3rd party CTI.

One of Tenfold's main features is click-to-call that can convert all phone numbers in Salesforce or on any part of your browser into clickable hyperlinks. This feature eliminates useless clicks and misdialing of phone numbers. Other Tenfold features include automatic call logging, a screen pop (caller ID), a call analytics dashboard, and more.
