Picture placeholder on the Contact screen

Is there anyway we can remove the Picture placeholder on the Contact screen? We normally don't require this on a Contact screen as we don't have contact pics. I tried in the User Interface but was unable to find any option to remove this picture.

Is there any way we can remove this Picture placeholder on the Contact screen? Let me know.

Hi CloudKnight,

I understand that you wish to remove the photo placeholder available on the Contact detail page.

Unfortunately, this is something which cannot be removed through page layout:
https://ap1.salesforce.com/img/social/unknown_profile_pic.png

Just a suggestion: If it is not much of a distraction, this photo placeholder can be useful in future if you wish to integrate your Salesforce with Linked or facebook and can then get your contact's photo.
