Why Clone button is unavailable in Account object?

Hi Arun,

 

This is not a standard functionality for the simple reason that most folks want clean data and do not want to have duplicates.

 

But yes as stated in the above post: you can follow the steps in the KB article : https://help.salesforce.com/apex/HTViewSolution?urlname=How-do-I-create-a-clone-button-for-Accounts&language=en_US

 

and create a clone button.

Though there is no clone button for account object , creating a custom button for clone operation is very easy . Create a new custom button and give url value as  /{!Account.Id}/e?clone=1&isdtp=vw . Hope it helps
