Karthik112 Hi I am trying to do outlook integration and just want to know how salesforce manages to sync the contact records..? Where is the Id of the contact stored or how does the outlook know which record to update when syncing..?
The data is currently stored in %APPDATA%\salesforce.com\Salesforce for Outlook\Sync.db, which is a SQLite 3 file. The first sync uses a scoring system based on completeness and matching of data. For example, two contacts on one side with the same name but different emails will match different contact records on the other side. Previous versions stored the data in other directories; the latest version is recommended if you are using an older version.
