JesseA What are some good solutions people have found to maximize their data storage usage? Our biggest culprate is Tasks because we use them across teams for multiple steps that occur for each sale.

For standard or custom objects i would say delete the old data by taking a backup (export all data or export reports on the objects). As you are more concerned for tasks, which belongs to Activities, i would suggest you to either export or delete the archived tasks/events (Activities) . By default Activities get archived in 365 days. If none of these options are helping out the you can reach out to your Account Executive for increasing the data storage space which involves cost.
