SalesForce Certification through Self-Studying

Hello all,

 

Just a quick question re: SalesForce certification: is it possible to enrol in examinations without attending any of the expensive classes? I am willing to pass the exam through self-studying, as it works better for me.

 

Any response will be highly appreciated.
