Log a case in Salesforce Service Cloud Console
I know we can put interaction logs for an object in service cloud console that archive as task but I want to know if it can be modified to create a cases on a Contact.
Alternatively, is it possible to disable interaction log feature and enable similar functionality for cases.
Please let me know if anybody has tried.

You can't make the Interaction Log make objects other than Task. You can, however, write a custom panel that creates cases if you want.

As you indicated that a custom panel can be created. Can you provide a little bit more information on that.
Do you mean creating a custom visualforce page for it? Actually I am not aware how to add custom page to console, any further help is much appreciated!!!
