On the Field Update Detail page, what does 'Re-evaluate Workflow Rules after Field Change' do?

Hi,

 

Whenthis is set to true, if the field update changes the field’s value, all workflow rules on the associated object are re-evaluated. Any workflow rules whose criteria are met as a result of the field value change will be triggered.

 

This is used whenever you want to re-evaluate after the field update occurs.

By "workflow rules", does that include approval processes, or is it limited to regular workflow rules being re-processed?

I have just tested it.

It includes approval processes as well.
