E-mail Notification upon lead import

Hi,

 

Is there any way to send an e-mail notification to the assigned user upon lead import?  I tried to set up a rule on the 'Rule Assignment' set up under the leads so that if the Urgent field is set to 1, to send an e-mail notification to the leads owner.  It didn't work.

 

Please advise,

Which tool are you using? The import Wizard?

Once you open the import Wizard, Step 8 there is a check but that says "Use assignment rule settings to send notification emails to record owners" 

 

Does this not work for you?

Yes I tried that, but I didnt receive any notifications when i tested this out.  Was there anything else on the 'assignment rules' I should set up?

 

I created a new rule 'Lead Owner' and just have 1 criteria:

 

Lead: Urgent equals True
