How to make a field to displayed in Edit page but not in Detail Page

Hi,

 

I want a field to be displayed while entering the data and after the record is saved then the field should not be displayed in the detail page.

 

How to do this? (Standard  page layout only)

Yes, it can be done from standard page layout. But it seems you do not want to do by that way, may I ask why?

Am sorry Sravan I misunderstood your req. You can remove field from page layout and override edit with your custom edit page where you can display the field.
