Is it Possible in Salesforce?

Hello,

     Is it possible to enter 11digits in phone number field? , i was looking if i could enter 1 infront of phone number but the phone number field doesn't takes more than 10numbers, have any one came across this issue ?

Phone field support more than 18 digits.just now before i worked. (144) 567-122334. you worked out this type

It is not possible to enter more than 10 digits in phone number field. You can try creating a number field and put phone validations on that.

  i worked out in Lead standard object. it accept morethan 10 digits. i m sure pradeep,

          If we create a number field and if we keep the phone validation rules does it works exactly same as phone field, i mean our users from canada wants to dial by the number we enter into this field, so is it possible?
