Territory Field Mandatory

How to make territory field  mandatory on opportunity on object.

This seems to be a custom field. You could have made it required while creating it.

Yes it is custom field but it is coming  from account object.On Account level it is mandatory.

 

When i want to create  new opportunity i wanted to make territory field mandatory.I can see that field after saving the record.

Hi Chenna,

 

U make mandatory fields in Page layout of opportunity page( territory field.)

 

steps:

1.log into opportunity page

2. select field tab from left side list.

3. down of sections U can see field ( territory field.) , when u pass Ur move over field, U can see Properties , click on it.

4. enable checkbox on "Required".

Having the same problem.

 

Making this field mandatory on the page layout doesn't seem to  serve any purpose when I tested. How is it supposed to work?

The field is only available on the read-only screen (like Opportunity Owner). Making the field mandatory doesn't bring any attention to the user that a value in this field is missing when creating/updating the opportunity

 

Any other ideas on how to solve this problem before hitting the Apex Trigger track....
