What is the Use of Sharing rules?

Hi,

 

Sharing rule are the rules by which admin provide access to a user or group to access the records owned by another user or gruop.

 

for example - 

I am the owner of R1 and all other users have read permission on this object.

If admin want to give you(to you only) write permission , than he can give you it by sharing rule.
