Polymorphic foreign key with custom fields

Is there a way to create a custom field for a polymorphic key?  Is there a way to create a lookup field with more than one object type to it?

Hello,

 

  Not that I've seen using standard functionality.  You could accomplish this using a visualforce page and apex code which works on a text field that holds the string version of record IDs.
