CRJ2011 When we create new Lead , we enter Last name and First name which is the taken as Name on Leads records .
Is it possible to keep it last name ,First name on Detail record . Is there a way to rename these fields .
If you want to show the FirstName and LastName values separately on the Detail page or in list views or reports (which might be useful for sorting in some situations), you can create Lead formula fields for First_Name and Last_Name. The 'formula' would be just the FirstName field or the LastName field. This custom field can then be put (read-only) on page layouts and included in reports.

First Name and Last Name are special fields available in Edit page however in Detail page layout, you cannot change format and will only see the Name field. However you can rename those fields by Navigating "App Setup | Tab Names and Labels | Rename Tabs and Labels".
