Tab Landing Page

Hi All,

 

Need some help on this one.

Say there's a custom object named CO.


When the tab for CO is clicked, we are shown the page 'Recent CO'.  Can we set this page to be different for different profiles?

On object defintion, from Search Layouts -> CO Tab, we can set the columns to be shown. But how can we customize this to be different for different profiles/users?

Is the page 'Recent CO' needs to be render dynamically by User/profile? if yes you can get the profile name/logged in user from controller and render the data accordinlgy in visual force page.

I am afraid this is not possible..

Tab landing page once set is same for all the users & applications and cannot  be set on profile basis.

If you r having visualforce page just use "tabstyle" attribute in <apex:page> and give CO__tab than it will go to that tab on clicking

The page that is displayed is based on the user settings, the last sorted list or the recent items which cannot be governed on a profile level.
