Unable to download the Force.com IDE

Hi,

 

I have been trying to download the Force.com IDE on my computer without any success.

The download never gets completed. It keeps disconnecting at various intervals of the download process. 

I am downloading it from the follwoing link

http://wiki.developerforce.com/page/Force.com_IDE_Installation

I am trying to download the Standalone application for Windows 64 Bit edition. Please provide a different link to download.

I was not able to download it using the official link, but I found another post with the solution:

What did you end up doing here? I've had this same issues for more than 1 month.  Said forget it initially but just tried it again today and having exact same issue.  I've also had issues with the Eclipse version but for different reasons.

The 64bits version as well as the 352bits version are not working.

 

Cannot have download completed.

Hi,

 

I also tried to downlad the standalone installer from http://wiki.developerforce.com/page/Force.com_IDE_Installation for windows x86.

After 14 attemps (with no proxy nor vpn nor firewalls) - the download just stopped randomly - I figured out that if you regularly pause your download (every 10 MB), you can actually download the whole file. My 15th download was the good.

Thank you for the link, Martin.  I've been wrestling with this problem all week and the only thing that finally worked for me was the alternate 64-bit link provided by Thomas on 4/4.  Here are the links that he provided:

Great! finally we have easy download link. After wasting a handful amount if time by trying diffent combinations Java update, eclipse etc etc.
