Contacts Views definition

Hello,
could we get Contacts Views name and definition through API

example All Contacts, My Contacts, etc

A description of list views is not available via the API.

I just wanteded to clarify something --
 
Are you saying that the API does not support retrieving objects for a particular view (e.g. Retrieving all the Accounts from a particular View).

There's is no api visible description of the list view. You can build a SOQL query that mimics the list view, but you have to work this out yourself.

(I am currently working on the SOQL queries to mimic views )
