CTI Adapter disconnects frequently / Softphone disappears

We are experiencing the CTI adapter disconnects frequently.  The issue is very inconsistent.  The caller becomes unable to click the Answer button.  The Softphone disappears and the caller must click "Connect to CTI Adapter" button again. 


We are also noticing javascript page errors in the bottom left corner.


This is happening on the SimpliCTI Adapter version 4 as well as the Demo Adapter version 4.0.

As providers of a Salesforce CTI Adapter, we too are finding that some of our customers are experiencing an intermittent disconnect.


Their SoftPhone gives a white on red message "Error: Can't connect to the CTI adapter. Please click the Connect CTI Adapter button.".  When they click the Connect CTI Adapter button, everything is fine again for a while.  There are no abnormal messages in the CTI Adapter or Browser Connector logs at the time of the disconnect.


I suspect that it's down to a flaky network problem of some sort.  I'd be very interested to hear anybody else's opinion on the matter.


This has been seen before with customers experiencing intermittent network issue. is working on a 4.02 adapter to target this as well and a few other enhancements.
