JPA to Salesforce

hi,

I want to connect to Salesforce using JPA like JPA to oracle.

how can do this ?

I want this With out using the concept of VMforce .

is this possible to connect to salesforce using JPA with out vmforce is Possible or not?

is there any code sample please send me.
