API workaround via sforce OfficeConnector?

Hello,

I have a customer who does not have the API (he cannot afford it). We are looking into building some functionality for him that would ordinarily require the API.

Is there a way to use the sforce OfficeConnector toolkit as an API without requiring Windows or Office?

Thank you very much,

Danny

no, sorry

anything like this would go into the connector and then the connector finaly makes an API call, so you would be stuck without Windows and Office.

If you do have windows and office you can use the partner version of the sforce_connector that salesforce posted on the crmsuccess site, i believe this does not require the Enterprise version of salesforce.
