There are various things which I had seen like Objects, classes, Apex, visualforce, SOSL, SOQL, triggers, and many other things, But i am just confused to start from where when I am start to learn anything then I got confused when some other thing will comes in that, like apex comes in the Visualforce, So then I started to learn Apex first then I got anything else, So I am just running here and there to pickup the topics, Please help me that how can I start and then follows all the topics in a step by step manner so I learn everything and no topic will be left.

Please help with me... I am really confused.

Thanks! Elias

You are right. Stick with Apex for now.
Visualforce also uses Apex for controllers etc. So it makes sense to finish off Apex first and then go on to other topics.

Hope this helps.

I would suggest you first start with the workbook tutorials.
These are short tutorials dealing with various aspects of the force.com platform.
There are a couple of workbooks in the developerforce site.

http://wiki.developerforce.com/page/Force.com_workbook

Start with the force.com Workbook.

Once you have an overall understanding of the platform, you can then look into the developer guides.

After study workbooks, i have to go for the Developer tutorials, So my question is at the Developers documetation, how can I learn all the modules of the Developer as step waise process, because First i had tried with the Overview, then I had tried with the visualforce and In visualforce I got some aspect of Apex so I started learning Apex first then In the Apex I got triggers and events and object so I started to learning them.

So bascially the problem is I could get a start point where eveything can be finished as a step wise process and I don't need to be jump over the topics for reference.

Hope it helps to understand my query.

Once the workbooks are done, start with Apex.
Check the apex developer guide in the link.
http://www.salesforce.com/us/developer/docs/apexcode/

This guide can be considered as a step by step approach to apex. However, it would help if you have previous experience with Java or any other object oriented language.

Once Apex is done you can then start with the Visualforce developer guide.

Getting started docs @ https://developer.salesforce.com/trailhead/force_com_admin_beginner/starting_force_com/starting_intro says to start with the declarative (click+UI) method instead of the programmatic way (like Apex). I'm looking to figure out whether I need to begin with creatign an 'app' or a 'project' or something else to begin adding sales leads - where to start ?

Hi

You can starting learing the about the salesforce application, you can get knowlege about the frontend application.
You will be aware of the terminology used in salesfoce. Later you can move to APEX, so that while learing coding as well you might not struck due to the applcation knowledge.
