Cannot modify the creation date or modifcation date of the note object?

Can someone help me with this? I keep getting an access denied/permissions error when trying to set those fields. if I remove these fields I can add the note object successfully. But i need to be able to set creation date and modification date.

Those fields are called Audit fields. By default they are not editable. You will need to contact Salesforce support or log a case and ask them to make them editable.

Hi,

You cannot  update these fields as these are locked Salesforce.com, but salesforce can enable for you to update creation date if you can request them , but they won't allow us to update modification date.
