importing custom object

hi,

can we import custom field data....like a field with type of picklist?

Yes, you can using a tool like Apex Dataloader or Jitterbit Dataloader for Salesforce or Dataloader.io

 

Picklist values can be imported, be aware that it will even import values which are not in the picklist definition in your salesforce.

 

I believe the exception are picklist like Lead Source and Opportunity Stage, which require the imported values to match the options in the picklist definition.
