Packaging Custom Labels

I have created a managed beta package.  I have about a dozen custom labels on standard fields on the account object and on the contact object.  I can't find any way to add these components to my application when I create the package.

Can custom labels be packaged?  How do I get custom labels onto the component list to be packaged?

Thanks for your help,

Jeff

Hi,

Custom labels are implicitly added to a package.

Please look at this thread for details: http://boards.developerforce.com/t5/AppExchange-Directory-Packaging/Custom-label-in-formula-field-and-managed-package-issue/m-p/127424 .

I am afraid that you cannot package labels for standard fields and tabs that you customize under Setup -> Customize -> Tab Names and Labels -> Rename Tabs and Labels. The standard names would affect a standard application of the customer who is installing your managed package.

If you want to change the standard application labels, there is an option for OEM partners to use Trialforce which allows for the creation of a customized org with your managed package, data and configuration (including renamed standard field labels) :
