Can Apex call an scontrol?

I think the nature of Apex would not allow this, but apex can't call a scontrol can it? I know an scontrol can trigger or even call an Apex function, but I don't think vice-versa...

You are correct.

the apex code runs on our servers and does not know how to access your browser, scontrols run in your browser.

you could read the scontrol source using a apex class, but there is no way to "run it"
