Time Reporting

Hello! I have a reqest from my management to be able to report on all calls completed today after 4:00 PM. The fields I am reporting on (Last Modified Date, or Task Completed Date/Time) are date/time fields and do not let me search by anything greater then 4:00 PM; it requires a date as well. This means I will have to update that report manually every day.






I didn't try filter on time. it might be possible, Else, you can write workflow to update some custom field on activities whenever calls are completed after 4 PM ( You can write it as condition for workflow trigger) You can do reporting easily on that custom field.

The issue I run into is creating the formulas. They require the use of a date/time (7/1/2010 4:10 PM) or a date (7/1/2010). I am not able to say "Task Completed Date/Time is greater then/equal to 4:00 PM". Any ideas how to get around this?


Had to do some work.


I created Date/Time Field lets called it "Update Time"

I created a workflow to update  it with Last Modifed date when the status is "Completed"


In reports I put the filter Update Time  Greater than 02/07/2010 10:00


It worked fine for me.
