Need to change the Opportunity:Amount (Qty * Unit Price )

How can I reassign the Amount value on the Opportunity to each a custom field?  My goal is to have Forecast see our Net Revenue field from the opportunity page.

In theory, the write up indicates we can perform this reasignment...but I am not seeing where I can rename 'Amount' nor 'Expected Revenue'. 

 

I'll keep working with this.

Are you asking about redirecting the standard SFDC Forecast Tab and Customizable Forecast Tab to reference your custom Opportunity Revenue field instead of the standard Opportunity.Amount field?

I was hoping to assign the custom field value to the Amount field in Forecast.

 

Example:                 Forecast: Amount = Opportunity: Net Revenue.

I am trying to fix the same problem here, I tired the work flow rule but no luck. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I was thinking maybe use a apex trigger to update unit price.

In short I have a custom filed "custome_c" I need it to be added to unit price once the item is added to the opp so it will flow up to total price for the opp
