Lady_Pirate How can I make an Opportunity name unique?
We are just getting started with SF and I'm trying to polish everything up. We've got the basics covered (I think) and each time we train someone on those basics it introduces a new question?
I am trying to make my opportunity name unique. I do not want 2 opportunities to have the same name.
How do I write this?
I can empathize. We've been using for 3 months now and we're still going back to "fix" records.
I can tell you that we don't have too much of a problem naming opportunities. It is a required field, but totally editable. We use a naming convention to quickly identify the type and name of the opportunity. Ex "call_XYZ_hot"
