API user type with non-expiring password?

Is there a user type that is specifically designed for API usage so you don't have to worry about the password expiring in your application?  I've been using an admin login and I doubt that is a best practice....

We set up a specific user for api access by cloning the Administrator profile as a Custom profile.  That allows you to set the "Password Never Expires" flag.

Thanks for the reply, just stumbled across that a few days ago when I was looking at some other profile permissions issues.  Just a note to others, the "Password never expires" checkbox is only enabled when you choose the "API only" user type.
