How to trigger workflow from a custom button

HI There,

We need a way to run a workflow rule from a custom button. According to support there is a way to do this with an s-control.

Can anyone give me any pointers?

To trigger workflow you need to do a record save either through the API or the UI.

Yes - you may update a flag within the s-control. The flag can then be used as a trigger for the workflow.
