HELP - Creating a Time-Dependant Workflow based on Activities

hi all,

i've recently be assigned the admin role and not sure how to set up a time dependent workflow based on the last activity...

scenerio - when there is no activity at the contact level within 30 days, a custom checkbox at the contact level gets checked off.

can anyone help?  any insight would be greatly appreciated!

thanks

Unless a record is editted which then triggers a rule such as what you are suggesting what you are proposing won't work. I wanted to create a workflow rule for expired close dates on opportunities, but unless someone edits the record (which is what I'm trying to accomplish) nothing happens.

Probably not what you were looking for but you could create a formula field that would count days since the last activity.  It would then be possible to use this field on a contact report as a filter.

Hello Buell,

This would still require the user to save the record in some manner before it would trigger the workflow.
