Apex Trigger to update an opportunity field from a custom object

I need help with an APEX Trigger that will update the opportunity when a field in the Custom Shipping Object has a value. I could really use some help with this.

I need help with writing this trigger. I am not very experienced writing these. 

 

The trigger would do the following:

The a date field on a custom object (Shipping) has a value, update a custom field (Check box) on the related  opportunity to True.

 

Would be willing to pay someone to write this, depending on cost. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
