One time update of a field

I know I've seen this before but cant recreate it.

Trying to figure out the syntax for a one time workflow rule.

I have two fields; Lead Score (formula) and Original Lead Score (number, I suppose). I'd like the Original Lead Score field to insert the value from Lead Score *once* (ergo, "original")...

Can you create a workflow rule that evaluates When a record is created, or when a record is edited and did not previously meet the rule criteria? The criteria can be when Lead Score is not equal to null. The workflow action can be a field update that is only triggered once.

Thx/Yes, but you are asking the pre-cursor question -- ie, can it be done? -- whereas I am asking "I know it can be done but how"?
