Email Alert from workflow

Hi

 

I have an email service(with apex email listener) running on salesforce instance #2. I want to set up a workflow with email alert action on another salesforce instance #1. 

 

Is it possible to use salesforce email address(from instance 2) on email alert on instance 1? 

 

Is there any governace limit on number of emails that can be sent (per day or user or workflow)  from workflow?
