aborchy Hide or use a redirect for New Opportunity button
has anyone out there worked out how to hide the "New" button in the Oppty object? I want to either hide it or have it open/redirect to the Account object so that users have to review existing leads or account records before creating a new opp. In other words they have to create an opportunity from either a lead, contact or account record.
If y ou have code please share :)

If you are talking about the new button on the Opportunities tab, then I'm afraid I've not seen any way to hide just this. I tend to go for a visualforce tab when I need this level of control. The downside to this method is that you'll need to replicate anything useful from the standard opportunities tab, and I haven't found a way to get at the recently accessed records to display that list.
