Export / Save Apex Class Code

Is there an easy way to store/export Apex Class code -- e.g. as "snippets" that can be re-used or easily accessible when working in several orgs?

You can export any meta data from Eclipse to a file system - so you can export your folder of Classes to a file system, and then open them up in an XML/Text Editor.
