hi,

     How to enable product family field in product2 object.

 it is already added in pagelayout but it is in disable format. how can we enble the product family and how to use this product family

Hi,

 

   product family field in  Disable mode  is nothing but it is in product page layout .it is visible but not possible to add the values related to product family.

Actually product family field is visible in page and it is in picklist data type.but there is no values in that pick list defaultly. So if we click on that product family field it is not responding and it is in disable mode.    

If  we want to add values to that product family, How to add the values and how to use those values. Could u please explain me datail..

Go to Product Object 

>> Select Field

>> Select Product Family

 in Product Family Picklist Values select NEW

you will get a textarea and input the picklist values;

Laptop

Desktop

Notebook

Ipad

 

And then hit save .
