Managed package upgrading

HI Every one,

I released a managed package to the appexchange successfully. After the first release, again by adding few more featureas I released a new version.

Can I configure my package such that users(who already installed my package) can upgrade my package automatically when I release a new version. How can I do this.

Now automatic upgrades are not happening in user instances.

Thanks,

Naresh B

Upgrade process will be similar to first time installation, you will need to provide the installation link to them and they have to install the upgrade. Upgrade will not carry any change that is configurable, like any change in existing profiles or email template.

Yes! You need to install the new generated URL again on all orgs. There is no such way to upgrade the package on all orgs.

We have Push upgrade (Version Tab in package) feature but you first need to create a patch org (Patch Organizations Tab in package) for it. Also a limitation in it is you can not add new features and can only update the existing ones.

Thanks
