Stage Change Trigger

Hi All,

          I need to write trigger on opportunity on stage change and send a mail to owner of that opportunity.

          Can anybody tell me what  trigger should look like.

Do you have to do this via a trigger?  Workflow can detect a change to the opportunity stage and send an email alert - its better to use that if you can.
