Can I have an Workflow rule Email Notification on Opportunity Line Item.

 

I tried to create one , but I didnt able to find the Line Item fields in the Field Type values.

 

Can any one let me know.

It's not there - you can't run workflow on opplineitems (at least, not in any way that I've found).

 

You might need to use a trigger. Or, if you're doing an email notification, a workflow on the Opportunity could send an email that references the opp line items with a VF email template?

I think you can write a workflow rule for the Opportunity Line Item and just to confirm that I tried creating a workflow rule to sen an email whenever a quantity for a line item equal 10.

 

It worked and I got an email. You would need to go to Create --> Workflow Rules-->New Rule and select the object as Opportunity Product. Opportunity Product and Opportunity Line item are one an the same.
