Sharing a record

How long it will take place to share a record?

No the record doesn't appear in shared user login.

 

I did the following ways to share an record with the another user:

 

i) Made the opportunities default access as private in the org wide defaults.

 

ii) created a sharing rule in the opportunity like

 

Rule type : Based on the owner

Opportunity :owned by the members of : Roles - MR (Custom Role)

Share with : Roles - LR (Custom Role)

Opportunity Access : Read Only

 

Is this the correct way for sharing an record? Kindly advice.
