Hitting Local/Private server uaing IP Address with HTTP request
Hi Everyone
Can we hit a local/private server using IP address with HTTP request in Salesforce ?? or the server should always be public....
Thanx in advance
Vishal.
You can't access a private IP (e.g. 192.168.x.x, 10.x.x.x, 172.16-31.x.x) using the HTTP methods that salesforce.com provides. You'll have to use a proxy or set up the server as a public server. Either way, the IP you use must be accessible from the general Internet.

Hi Vishal,
If I am getting you properly, you need to access private/local server from salesforce. If this is your case then you need to whitelist salesforce IP addresses in your proxy.
If this is not your case, please elaborate your scenario..
