How can we assign a new PAGE LAYOUT to a record type after approval process

I have two page layouts.

 

After approval prcoess , IF APPROVED, I want to change the page layout associated with the record types.

 

How can i achieve this functionality ??

You cannot change the pagelayout for record type on runtime.....

 

You can change the recordtype ..

 

Probably you can create another recordtype and assign the second page layout to that. So in run time you can change the recordtype of the record and the pagelayout will be changed... But keep in mind that the pagelayout will be not be changes if you are working on a pagelayout in the SF..as you cannot change the recordtype of a record on the record page...
