Need to notify sales team when a new opportunity is created

Hi,

 

When a new Opportunity is created, I need to notify sales team once they are added to the opportunity.

We cannot write trigger on Opportunity Team Member(i.e., sales team).

Can we do this through workflow rules?

Please provide your suggestions.

Yes we cannot write trigger on OppTeamMember but you could do write a scheduler running outside salesforce which will do the check for all new OppTeamMember, makes sense?

I recommend Salesforce looking at enabling this function.  Siebel let us do it and it is an efficient and powerful way to start collaboration
