Does workflow rules fires for partner portal users ?

Hi,

 

I have a workflow field update on Opportunity, which fires everytime a record is created/edited. It is working as expected for Standard Users, but not working for Patner Portal user. (when creating a opportunity as partner portal user).  Any idea ?.

Any help must be appreciated.

 I think ,it may not fire for partner portal users.

I would expect that to work. What are you doing in the workflow ? Are you trying to update something that your parner portal user may not have access to ?

No, it would have sent a Insufficient error message if  the user doen't have access, right ?. I dint get any errors, I'm just updating a checkbox as true when amout exceeds 1000.

The workflow is working/firing when record update, but not working/firing when creating a new Opportunity record on partner portal.

So maybe the workflow rule trigger condition is not right. It might be scheduled to run when the opp record is updated.

 

OR

 

The partner portal user doesn't have the permission to create an Opp.
