No.

 

There are different kind of salesforce organisations you can have, professional, unlimited, developer etc. Some of those types allow you to create sandboxes. When having sandboxes we make the distinction between a production organisation (your base organisation, with real data, where your employees use salesforce) and sandboxes, which are limited* copies of your production org.

 

You can have a customer portal on your production organisation, where your customers can have access, and a copy of that customer portal in your sandbox, for testing and developing your customer portal.

 

*depends on the type of sandbox

** this is not an apex question, it helps to keep the boards clean if you post in the most appropriate board.

Hi,

 

There is no such Production Org offered by Salesforce. However lots of time and in many organization Enterprise or Unlimited edition is know as "Production Org".

 

Customer Portal is the Part of Production Org, which can be enabled, disabled or configured from production org.
