Associate the Product to a case in Email to Case



How to link the product to a case through email to case functionality?


For example. I am submitting a case Using Email To Case Functionality. I want a product to be associated with this case.

How can i achieve this?





One approach I've seen before is to have different email addresses for different product LINES - not products - and when a new case was created for that email queue, we automatically knew what the associated product line should be.

If you want to know the exact product, down to the SKU, you're going to have a very interesting task in parsing random email text and match it up to your product catalog. It's an fun problem but probably not one you seriously want to get into - it's will generally be cheaper to buy something off the shelf or set up a customer portal where your users can talk to you directly.
