Actually, i want to add a custom button on a Salesforce Standard page layout, most specifically the Edit page. I looked and i  found this

http://boards.developerforce.com/t5/General-Development/How-to-add-button-on-edit-page-without-overriding-with/m-p/327155#M59683

The solution does work. But to make it work , i need to add the homecomponent to my sidebar and to be able to do so, i need to check

Show Custom Sidebar Components on All Pages on User interface  and i have the sidebar component on all pages  and i'm not to collapse it back.

So the solution works but visually , the screen doe snot look that good.

Hence, i was wondering if it's possible to add the javascript anywhere on the Edit page or whatever i'm suggesting is too farfetched?

Hi,

I have the same requirement. Can you please tell me how you added the javascript on the page.
or how you achieved it through the home page component.

Thanks,
Disha
